2010 Global Missions Conference
The 2010 NGU Global Missions Conference is September 20-22. We would like to request your help with a couple of important things.
We need to provide housing for our visiting missionaries.
Many of you have responded through the years to open your homes to these wonderful folks who will be pouring their lives into our students during this week.
Most of these missionaries will need housing from Sunday night through Tuesday night. They will mainly just need a place to sleep. We will be keeping them busy all day and until 9:00 or so at night.
Their meals will be eaten in the Dining Hall so you donít have to prepare food for them. If they arrive on Sunday, you may want to have something for their Sunday night meal and, if you want to do something for breakfast you may, but even those meals can be eaten here on campus. I am mainly looking for those who live within a 5-10 mile radius of the campus so that these missionaries do not have to drive too far getting back and forth.
If you are willing to invite a missionary or missions representative to speak in your classroom that would be a HUGE blessing.
This gives our missionaries another venue to try to speak into the lives of our students. You do not have to give a missionary your entire class period, although you may do that as well. Classroom speaking opportunities will be at the following times:
- Monday afternoon after 1:00 p.m.
- All day Tuesday
- Wednesday through 12:00 noon classes.
Missionaries will NOT be available to speak to night classes.
Please consider this if you have not done so before. These missionaries love to talk with students. If you will send your class time, location, and the amount of time you would be willing to give the missionary to speak to Allen.McWhite@ngu.edu, then Dr. McWhite will put a schedule together and send it to you for your approval.
Thank you for your assistance with this important week. We honestly cannot do this every year without your help. If you are willing to house a missionary or allow a missionary to speak in one or more of your classes, just reply to this e-mail with that information.
Thank you for all that you do!
Until ALL nations worship!
