They're BACK!!! It's great to have a freshman class of nearly
600 new students and about 1300 transfer and returning students.
The new academic year began with a bang as Tony
Nolan spoke in the first chapel service of the year and at the last
night of the NGU Stadium Crusade. Sixteen students received Christ
as their Lord in chapel.
Steve Fee, worship leader at North Point Community
Church in Alpharetta, GA, shared a concert with full band the first week
of school. Over 600 students attended the concert co-sponsored by
the Mud Creek Baptist Church plant on the NGU campus and NGU's Baptist
Student Union.
Campus Ministry
Campus Ministry at North Greenville University is led
by the Holy Spirit and driven by our students. Eight campus
ministry interns work with the campus ministry staff to minister to the spiritual needs
of the campus. More than thirty chaplains work with the interns in
ministering in residence halls, with commuting students, and with our
athletic teams focusing on discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, prayer,
and accountability. North Greenville University trains, equips, and
empowers 25 ministry teams through the Baptist Student Union involving more than 150 students who share
Christ through music, drama, weekend ministry teams, and a variety of
weekday ministries including after school programs, nursing home
ministries, inner city ministry, and many other outreach efforts.
