The dates for Homecoming 2014 have been set. Make your plans now to come home to Tigerville the weekend of October 17th & 18th. Reconnect with your alma mater, and see all the changes that have taken place in recent years.
Friday the 17th will be full of activities for alumni, including the annual Marion Moorhead golf tournament and the Alumni Awards banquet. On Saturday, you'll have the opportunity to meet and greet faculty, enjoy some great tailgate grub, watch the annual Homecoming Parade and of course, cheer on the Crusaders as they go to battle against Carson Newman.
Keep your eye out for more information! We'll be mailing the event brochure in August!
Have you been receiving your copy of the North Greenville University Magazine, or any other mailings from NGU? If not, that means we don't have your current address on file. These are materials that you are entitled to receive as an alumni.
Many people have the impression that NGU only wants their address so that they can ask them for money all the time. While it is true that fundraising is always a part of any university's existence, that is not the only reason we want to keep up with our alumni.
The most important role you play is not that of "donor," but that of mentor. Our current and future students need to see what former students are doing with their NGU degrees. When you stay connected and let us know what's happening in your career, you offer a young professional a view of what's possible for them once they graduate.
As an alumni, you are a role model for those who will soon join you in the "NGU Diaspora" - so please consider submitting your contact information. Whether or not you have the means or desire to donate funds - your testimony and your experiences are as good as gold.
