Dr. Walter J. Pym ('03, '08, '15)

I am humbled and appreciative of the opportunity to serve as the President of the North Greenville University Alumni Association. As a third generation graduate of North Greenville, it truly is an honor to serve in this role at the place that had a significant role in the man I have become.

I am an ordained minister who has served in several churches in the Upstate of South Carolina. While at North Greenville I met my wife Jessica (Class of 2005) and made lifelong friends. I attended North Greenville as a student on 3 occasions. I began my studies at NGU in the Fall of 1999 receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies with a Minor in Youth Ministry in the Fall of 2003. I attended North Greenville's T. Walter Brasher Graduate School in the Spring of 2006 receiving my Master of Christian Ministry degree with an emphasis in Missions and Evangelism in the Spring of 2008. I continued taking classes at the Graduate School from 2008-2015 until I earned my Doctor of Ministry in the Spring of 2015. Obviously I owe a lot to the University and its investment in me. For this reason, I seek to give back to the University.

The Alumni Association has many opportunities for Alumni to engage and connect with the University and other Alumni. Some of these opportunities are athletic event tailgates, fine arts events, and network meetings held around the state. In order to keep up to date with the Alumni Association happenings you can like and join or Facebook page at North Greenville University Alumni Association. You can also contact the Alumni Affairs office to receive information about the Alumni Association and its activities. I encourage all Alumni to connect and engage with the Alumni Association and the University through its numerous activities and by coming back to the campus for a visit. Thank You for the opportunity to serve as your Alumni President Please join me by continually praying for the advancement of God's Kingdom through our beloved University where Christ Makes The Difference.
