North Greenville University began the 2013-14 school year with new student orientation today. Registration will continue on Monday and Tuesday with classes starting on Wednesday, August 21.

A new tradition will begin next Saturday, August 24 for the freshman class. NGU will be hosting its first Make A Difference (MAD) Saturday. Freshmen will be partnering with Three Rivers Baptist Association churches to minister to the local communities by assisting the elderly with yard and house work, nursing home and children's activities, offering a free car wash, and just reaching out to people to lend a helping hand for the day. Students will be divided into several groups to go out and participate in community service. Throughout the day, team leaders will be sending photos and video clips back to the school in order for a  digital presentation to be shown to the students during a time of celebration that evening on campus. 

The Crusaders will open their 2013 football season under new Head Coach Jeff Farrington on Saturday, September 7 against Albany State in Younts Stadium. September 21 has been set as Family Weekend when the Crusaders take on Tusculum.(See the full football schedule at
