Crusaders to face Johnson & Wales in Charlotte Bobcats Arena Wednesday

Division II schools rarely get even close to the same recognition in sports as all of the Division I schools; however North Greenville University is breaking the mold this week. This Wednesday, February 20, the NGU men's basketball team will be playing Johnson and Wales University in the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte.  This is easily one of the most important events for the NGU basketball team in a long time.

Excited Crusader fans on campus are getting prepared for it. Student Services has set up a student bus trip to the game, and at least 100 students are planning to attend.  As an added bonus, the Charlotte Bobcats are taking on the Detroit Pistons the same night and those going to watch the NGU game get to stay for the NBA game. This is a great opportunity for NGU to show school spirit and to support their basketball players.

Any event such as this which involves NGU coming into the limelight is not only a great time to promote our players' talent and to promote the school, but also to represent the Lord Jesus Christ.

Men’s Head Basketball Coach Chad Lister said about his players, “We have a wonderful group of young men who represent Christ and our institution well.”

The NGU vs. Johnson and Wales game begins at 2:15pm and the Bobcats vs. Pistons game starts at 7 p.m. Our basketball team would love for all of our Charlotte area Alumni & Friends to come out and support the Crusaders!
