Our Framework

The College of Education’s conceptual framework, “Teacher as Effective Practitioner, Caring Leader and Lifelong Learner,” is aimed at preparing teachers who not only have a deep understanding of subjects and methods of teaching, but also an understanding of P-12 students.  The effective practitioner facilitates students’ learning; the caring leader promotes students’ holistic well-being and desires to see them continually grow and develop; the lifelong learner continuously develops personal knowledge, skills and dispositions as well.
