Fall 2012 Term Begins Today

North Greenville University began classes today for the fall 2012 academic year. Students began arriving on campus last Friday for new student orientation. Upperclassmen arrived Monday and Tuesday.

To kick-off the academic year, the university and community join together to worship the Lord through the annual Campus Crusade which began Sunday night and will run through tonight. Service begins at 7:00 p.m. This event sets the spiritual tone for the semester. For our incoming freshmen, the Crusade offers the first real experience of the true nature and purpose of NGU.

Travis Agnew, a 2003 NGU graduate, has been the featured speaker for the Crusade. Agnew is currently the worship pastor at North Side Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. He also serves as adjunct religion instructor at Lander University.  In addition to authoring several books and composing music, he also developed Lifeway’s Courageous film’s Bible study Honor Begins at Home.

Agnew led worship in the first chapel of the semester today (Wednesday). View chapel schedule for the fall semester.
