Help Desk

The ITS Help Desk provides administrative and desktop services to faculty and staff, as well as uninterrupted internet access on campus. You can enlist our services in several ways:

  • Open a ticket on the Help Desk Portal.  Use your Crusader Account to log in. Templates are available to help explain your issue or problem.
  • Send an email to the Help Desk using your NGU email address.
  • Call the help desk at (864) 977-7272 during business hours.
  • Visit the help desk in Donnan Administration room 210. Our hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

Service Appointments

As part of our desire to serve our students, faculty and staff in a Christ-like manner, we also provide minor support on personal PCs and MACs.

Students can begin signing up for appointments at the Help Desk starting the second Monday after the semester begins through the week prior to exam week.  Appointments are made on a first-come first-serve basis.

Service appointments are offered Monday through Thursday. We do not service personal devices on Friday.

Note: If you have an emergency before the second Monday of the semester, contact the Help Desk.  We will try to help as time is available.

After Hours Call Support

Faculty / Staff, if you experience any of the following problems after hours (weeknights 5 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. and weekends from Friday 1 p.m. through 8:30 a.m. Monday), report it to Campus Security at (864) 977-7777.  Resident students please report issues to the Resident Assistant in your hall.

  • An unannounced internet outage that affects a significant number of people such as a residence hall, academic, or administrative building    
  • An outage of telephone service 
  • Printing services
  • Outage of an enterprise system such as CAMS, website, or website services (such as the student portal, faculty portal, or library databases)

Campus Security will contact IT Services to determine what action will be taken.

Individual outages will be addressed during business hours.  Reports of individual outages should be made by calling the Help Desk at (864) 977-7272 or by emailing the Help Desk if possible.
