Course Registration

The attempt of this page is to inform you of the important things you need to know in order to register for courses in the MBA or MCM programs at North Greenville University.

Before you Begin

Be sure that you have access to your account through the STUDENT PORTAL.  If you have not logged in to the student portal, you need to do this ASAP to make sure there are no issues with your account.  The user name and passwords are the same credentials as all other NGU accounts you have been assigned.  Here is a reminder in case you do not remember. 

Username—last name and the last THREE digits of your Student ID number (example  Scott123)

Password—CAPITAL first initial, lower case middle and last initial and the last FIVE of your Social.  (example  Tps12345)

IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR CREDENTIALS FOR YOUR EMAIL, THEN USE THE CREDENTIALS YOU CREATED.  THE CREDENTIALS FOR THE EMAIL ACCOUNT AND THE STUDENT PORTAL ACCOUNT ARE THE SAME.  BLACKBOARD IS SET BY OUR SYSTEM, BUT IS NOT LINKED TO OUR SYSTEM; THEREFORE, Bb CREDENTIALS ARE UNIQUE TO THE BLACKBOARD SERVER.

MBA Registration Procedure

If you have not been advised, please contact Tracy Kramer to ensure that you know which classes you are to register for over the next year.  If you have questions, you may contact Tawana Scott, but be advised that Tracy Kramer is your official advisor

This is the registration procedure for MBA students. 

Log into the Student Portal—it is best to change the term here…in the drop down bar to the current term—FallMBA-11

Accept the FERPA regulations certificate

Disable your pop-up blocker for ngu.edu

Change the current term  if you did not already do so when you logged in(on the top left under your name) to FallMBA-11

Click on the REGISTRATION tab on the left under the Administrative Services

From here you will see all of the classes available.  BE CAREFUL and choose only the classes you want to register for.  Every student must register for the MBA COMMUNICATIONS class.  This is a NON-CREDIT, FREE class that will enable us to communicate through the term through Blackboard. 

Be advised that there are two pages of classes

Once you have chosen the classes, click the Process Registration tab at the bottom right of the page.

Verify that you want to register for the classes by choosing “OK” in the pop-up tab.

Print a copy of the registration for your records. 

Go to the My Ledger tab to see the total amount due.  You will have to go to the “File”tab and select print at the top of the page to print the screen to actually print anything.  Please do this, and mail the payment to my attention at 1400 Locust Hill Road, Greer, SC 29651. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR CLASSIF YOU HAVE NOT MADE FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS (ie—payment plan, financial aid etc.)  BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE CLASS!!! 

 

MCM Registration Procedure

If you have not been advised, please contact Larry McDonald to ensure that you know which classes you are to register for over the next year.  If you have questions, you may contact Tawana Scott, but be advised that Larry McDonald is your official advisor

This is the registration procedure for MCM students. 

Log into the Student Portal—change the current term to FallMCM-11. If you fail to change the term, you will NOT be able to register!

Again…verify that you have changed the current term (on the top left under your name) to FallMCM-11
