WHEN CAN I BEGIN?

We have rolling enrollment at the graduate school.  This means you can begin any of the five, 8-week terms we have annually (Exception: All Doctoral Programs).

LONG ARE THE TERMS?

We have five, 8-week terms per year in our master level degrees. * Please refer to the Doctor of Ministry program information for information about academic terms.

CAN I TRANSFER COURSE WORK FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSITY?

In general, 6 graduate hours can be transferred for the MBA, 9 graduate hours can be transferred into the MED and MAT, and 12 graduate credit hours can be transferred into the Master of Arts in the ministry degree programs.  We are happy to evaluate your official transcript(s) to determine if you are eligible for transfer credits. Please submit a Graduate Transfer Credit Request Form along with your application for admission to have your transcript assess for transfer credits.

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT AND WHEN IS IT DUE?

Tuition payments or payment arrangements need to be made 2 weeks prior to the start date of class. Payments should be mailed to the Graduate Academic Services Office of NGU at 1400 Locust Hill Rd, Greer, SC 29651.

Once a student attends a class, the student is made official. Official registration means that the student will receive a grade for the class. The accelerated nature of our graduate classes prevents refunds to students unless the class is officially dropped within three (3) days of the beginning of class.

WHERE DO I GET FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION?

All Financial Aid questions should be addressed to the Financial Aid Department on the MAIN campus. Their number is 864-977-7056. Graduate students are eligible for student loans. Ministry students may find information about scholarship opportunities available to them under the SCHOLARSHIP link of that degree program page.

WHERE DO I GET BOOKS?

Books can be obtained through the NGU bookstore or online at a vendor of your choice. We make every effort to ensure that an accurate book list with ISBN numbers is posted on the REQUIRED TEXT link on the webpage. Obtaining books through the NGU store assures on time delivery.

WHAT IS BLACKBOARD?

Blackboard is an online learning platform.  All of your classroom activities will be provided and completed in this online “classroom.”  You will be given credentials to securely log into your account and participate in your class activities.

What if I want to withdraw from a course after the first week of class?

Students who wish to withdraw from a class/classes at the graduate school must contact the Graduate Academic Services Office to request a withdrawal from. The withdrawal does not become official until the completed and signed form is returned to the Graduate Academic Services Office. Access to classes is given to students one week prior to the start of each term in order for students to assess the workload required for their course(s). All requests to drop must be completed prior to the start of the term. No tuition refund is made after the first three days of the term. If a student wishes to withdraw after the first week, the student is responsible for the full tuition. If the student has obtained a student loan and requests a withdrawal prior to the 60% point of the term, the student loan will be pro-rated, initializing a return of funds to the Student Loan Corporation. In this case, the student may owe money to North Greenville University, as the student is responsible for full tuition amount. If the student has received a refund from the school for additional funds in their loan, the amount owed to the school may be greater than the tuition for the class.

After the first week of classes, students will receive a grade assignment. If a student has not made a reasonable attempt to be complete assigned work for the course, they will receive a grade of Withdrawal Failing (WF). A WF impacts a student’s transcript in the same way as an F.”
