Guest Flutist At NGU Monday Night

Kate Steinbeck, Guest Flutist, will be at North Greenville University on Monday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. in Hamlin Recital Hall.  

Flutist Kate Steinbeck enjoys a varied career as performer, teacher and innovative music producer. She holds a MM from the SF Conservatory where she studied with Tim Day (SF Symphony). In 2000 she created Keowee Chamber Music, which has become Pan Harmonia. Her company presents concerts and outreach throughout the region and was recognized by a prestigious NEA grant for Artistic Excellence in 2010. Kate has co-produced two critically acclaimed CDs: Light in the Corner with Byron Hedgepeth and Luminescence with guitarist Amy Brucksch. NGU's Fabio Parrini and his daughter Maria, a prize-winning student at the Fine Arts Center, collaborate in this program.
