North Greenville University hosts Centrifuge and M-Fuge camps
Tigerville, SC - North Greenville University has the privilege of hosting
Centrifuge, a youth camp sponsored by LifeWay Christian Resources of the
Southern Baptist Convention, and M-Fuge, a sister camp that adds mission
involvement to the camp experience. This marks the 13th
straight
year the university has hosted Centrifuge on its campus.
The camp will attract approximately 800 teens and counselors from
various churches across the southeast each week from Monday, June 6, until
Saturday, July 23. Groups arrive Monday afternoons and leave campus before lunch
each Saturday.
“Centrifuge and M-Fuge continues the school’s mission as an
institution during the summer to reach people for Christ and help develop as
disciples on mission for the kingdom, wherever God leads them,” stated Dr. Steve
Crouse, NGU campus minister.
“Last summer 80 students came to know Christ on our campus through
this ministry. Many others made significant responses to Christ’s call in their
lives,” said Crouse.
Centrifuge benefits the college in several ways. Many students who
visit the campus through this program have enrolled in the college. Income
raised from the program support the university’s operational budget.
