The North Greenville University campus community held a send-off rally at noon for the championship-dominating Crusader football team as they loaded the bus for the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport. The team travels to Cleveland, MS for Saturday's Quarterfinal game of the Division II Football Championship, where they intend to make a meal of the Delta State "Fighting Okra."
North Greenville (11-2) will face Gulf South Conference's Delta State (10-2) at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
NCAA.com will be providing live streaming coverage for all the Division II Football Championship Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals beginning on Saturday, December 3.
The first game of the quarterfinals will feature Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association champs Winston-Salem (12-0) against Northeast-10 Conference regular season winners New Haven (11-1) in Winston-Salem, N.C. at 12 p.m. (ET). The next game will be in Duluth, Minn. at 1 p.m. (ET) between Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference member Minnesota Duluth (11-2) and Wayne State (MI) (10-3) from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The third game will be North Greenville and Delta State at 2 p.m. (ET). Also playing at 2 p.m. (ET) will be Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association regular season foes Northwest Missouri State (11-2) facing Pittsburgh State (10-1) in Pittsburgh, Kan.
The venue for the semifinals will be determined after the quarterfinal match-ups have concluded. The winners of the quarterfinals will face each other in the semifinals on Saturday, December 10 to determine who will advance to the finals.
On Saturday, December 17 at 11 a.m. (ET) the winners of the semifinals will play each other in the final to determine the NCAA Division II Football champion.
