New Academic Year Begins

North Greenville University began the new school year with new student orientation today. Registration will continue on Monday and Tuesday with classes starting on Wednesday, August 17. Approximately 700 new students will be attending the University this semester, but official numbers will not be confirmed until classes are underway.

NGU has been acknowledged once again as one of America’s Best Colleges in 2011by Forbes Magazine. The list of more than 650 undergraduate institutions – the top 20% of all undergraduate institutions - is based on the quality of the education, the experiences and achievements of the students. NGU is the only Southern Baptist school in South Carolina included in the rankings.

In this academic year, the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School will begin offering a doctor of ministry program.

NGU will open its 2011 football season on September 3 when the Crusaders travel to Newberry to take on the Indians of Newberry College.
