NGU Begins New Academic Year

Tigerville, SC (August 19, 2010) - North Greenville University began the new school year with new student orientation on Friday, August 13. Registration continued on Monday and Tuesday with classes starting on Wednesday, August 18.

Approximately 700 new students will be attending the University this semester, but official numbers will not be confirmed until classes are underway.

NGU has been acknowledged once again as one of America's Best Colleges in 2011 by Forbes Magazine. The list of more than 600 undergraduate institutions is based on the quality of the education they provide, the experiences of the students, and how much they achieve. NGU is the only Baptist school in South Carolina included in the rankings.

In this academic year, the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School will be opening its new Master of Education program.

NGU will open its 2010 football season on August 28 when the Crusaders will travel to take on the Lions of Mars Hill College.
