Erin Michelle Gray from Lawrence, GA was crowned queen for North Greenville University’s 2011 homecoming on Saturday, October 29.
NGU President, Dr. Jimmy Epting, and 2010 homecoming queen Cortni Mims crowned Gray during halftime of the Crusaders’ football game with the Catawba College Indians. Crusaders went on to defeat the Indians 25-7.
Gray, who represented the women’s basketball team, is a biology major.
Nelan Hughes, representing the Resident Assistant Association, was named first runner-up. She is a Christian studies major from Denton, TX.
NGU awarded Kara Thaggard with the second runner-up honor. Thaggard represented the NGU Marching Band and is a music performance major from High Point, NC.
The North Greenville University homecoming queen is chosen annually by the student body in a campus wide vote during the week of homecoming.
