Renee Johnson from Anderson was crowned queen for North Greenville University’s 2012 homecoming on Saturday, October 20.
NGU President, Dr. Jimmy Epting, and 2011 homecoming queen Erin Gray crowned Johnson during halftime of the Crusaders’ football game with Brevard College. Crusaders went on to defeat the Tornados 14-10.
Johnson, who represented the Resident Assistant Association, is an early childhood education major.
Rashmi Vanhook was named first runner-up. Vanhook represented women’s basketball and is a sport management major from Pittsboro, NC.
NGU awarded Alaina Mullinax, representing Campus Ambassadors, the second runner-up honor. She is a broadcasting major from Easley.
The North Greenville University homecoming queen is chosen annually by the student body in a campus wide vote during the week of homecoming.
