NGU plays Golf for Athletics

North Greenville University held its Twenty-Seventh Annual Crusader Club Golf Classic on Tuesday, April 22 at the Cliffs-Valley course where over thirty teams participated in the captainís choice event. 

The tournament sponsors for this yearís Classic were Dick Brooks Honda, SAM Group, Inc., and The Cliffs.

The First Place Gross Team award was presented to the Dr. Pepper team. Team members were: Randy Keeler, Rick Keeler, Kerry Palmer , and Tom Roose.

The First Place Net Team honor was awarded to the GHS/Steadman Hawkins team. The team consisted of Darren Holmes, Jay Rowell, Amberly Steele, and John Thorpe.

Pat Morris from the Pepsi team won the Pontiac Grand-Am on a closest to the pin hole. He donated the automobile back to the school for its use and received a $1,500 cash prize.

The event raises over $80,000 annually to provide scholarships for North Greenville University student-athletes.
