Former Merv Griffin Show musician comes to Tigerville

The Roger Pemberton Jazz Quartet will be performing in Turner Chapel on the NGU campus at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 27.

Roger Pemberton is a saxophonist who is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of South Carolina. He has been an arranger and studio musician for the Merv Griffin Show in New York and has recorded with many great artists, including Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, and Les Hooper. Roger Pemberton holds honorary Doctor of Music degrees from Newberry College and the University of Evansville for his contributions to jazz education and performance.
