Student Marketing Association

The NGU Student Marketing Association is a student-led organization created to equip our members with knowledge that will assist them in their professional careers.  We invite marketing professionals to speak about their work and to facilitate networking and career exploration.

The SMA is open to students in all disciplines who have an interest in the principles and practices of marketing. The SMA is of particular interest to students in Visual Arts, Mass Communications, and even Christian Studies students interested in Evangelism and Church Growth.

All meetings are held at 6PM in the Christian Worldview Center Conference Room (Craft 100). Meetings usually last one hour.

Our Spring meetings are on the following dates:

  •  Tuesday, January 28
  •  Tuesday, March 4
  •  Tuesday, March 25
  • Tuesday, April 22

Prospective members are invited to attend their first meeting without paying dues. Students do need to join SMA to attend subsequent meetings and to participate in SMA events. Membership forms can be picked up from the SMA bulletin board in the hallway of the marketing and business faculty offices in Neves or downloaded here: Student Marketing Association Membership Form. Please bring the completed form and dues to the meeting. Dues are $15 for the year. For questions, please contact SMA President Shane Adcock at msadock@ngu.edu.

Benefits of the SMA

As a member of the SMA, you will be able to participate in tours of marketing agencies and other "real world" experiences that will help you establish relationships and knowledge about marketing careers. These events are a great way to get to know both your professors and peers and have fun learning!
