Taylor Works to Improve His Game

Adam Taylor, outfielder for NGUís baseball team, led the team to a National Championship last year and the national championship game this season. He is working this summer to further develop his skills by playing with the New York Collegiate Baseball League, which is associated with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is playing for the Niagara Power in a field of competition that offers him the opportunity to improve his game. Taylor played for the Gastonia Grizzlies of the Coastal Plains Baseball League last summer.

Taylor has been an integral part in the success of the baseball program at NGU. The year before he came to NGU, the Crusaders were 10-40. Taylor wanted to attend a college where he would have an immediate impact on the field, but never dreamed that the team would win the NCCAA National Championship in his first season.

In preparing for his junior season, Taylor is motivated to put himself into a position to play major league baseball, however he is putting his baseball career in Godís hands.

ďIíd be kidding you if I said Iíve never thought of [playing major league baseball]. Itís always been my dream. What my coach preaches at NGU is the approach of the next day. Itís the little things that lead you to big successes,Ē Taylor said.
