Write2Ignite!, a professional and networking group for Christian writers of literature for children and young adults, will hold its annual conference on the NGU campus March 16-17, 2012. W2I!, which has held two previous conferences at NGU, was formed by writing acquaintances who wanted to promote the writing of high-quality literature for the younger generation, whether explicitly Christian materials like devotionals, Sunday School curriculum, and Christian series, or less explicitly Christian fiction and nonfiction works with an underlying Christian worldview.
The W2I! conference brings writers, editors, and literary agents to present on a wide variety of workshop and keynote topics while providing attendees opportunities to network, consult with agents and editors, and browse a wide variety of free literature and vendor books.
The conference has sessions for middle and high-school teens as well as adults and college students. Cost is very moderate at $50.00 for students and $95.00 for adults. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees may earn 1.0 CEU credit by attending all sessions and paying an additional $10.00 fee.
Full information is available on the W2I! website, www.write2ignite.com. This conference is sponsored by the NGU English Department. Questions may also be directed to Dr. DeCiantis, NGU-W2I! liaison, at 864-977-7731 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
