Jeff P. Briggs, Ph.D.

Dr. Jeff Briggs earned his doctorate in sport management from Florida State University in 1999. In addition to his service at NGU, he currently serves as an adjunct professor in the graduate sport management program with Central Michigan University at its Atlanta campus. He also serves as president and CEO of Briggs Consulting. His most popular publication, The Bowling-Specific Training Manual, is now in its fourth edition and has sold several thousand copies in over 50 different countries. Briggs is married to Sara, and they are raising three wonderful children: Hannah, Rebekah, and Joshua. He enjoys bowling, racquetball, squash, and exercise, and he cheers on all Cleveland, Ohio, and Ohio State University sport teams.
Administrative Assistant for the College of Wellness & Sports Profession
Myriam Vest serves as the Administrative Assistant for the College of Wellness & Sport Professions at NGU. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (‘85) from Oral Roberts University and a Master of Religious Education (‘94) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to serving at NGU, Vest taught Developmental English for eight years at Baker College in Michigan and most recently served as office administrator in a local church. In her spare time, she and her husband, Joseph, enjoy traveling, gardening and the mountains, and especially hiking with their family.
