It’s finally the weekend, but that doesn’t mean you’re not getting excited about college!

Distinguished Fridays at North Greenville University offer the perfect opportunity for you to take advantage of Friday afternoons and summer months by visiting campus with a group of fellow prospective students (and hopefully future Crusaders) while life on campus is a little slower.

Here’s a list of everything you’ll get to do as our guest at a Distinguished Friday event:

  • Tour campus
  • See inside a residence hall
  • Explore academic buildings
  • Discover majors offered at NGU
  • Talk with an NGU Admissions counselor one on one
  • Meet fellow prospective students
  • Learn more about your next steps in the application process

If you want a quick yet laid-back introduction to NGU in a group setting, then Distinguished Fridays are the way to go.

North Greenville University will be closed for Christmas Break from Wednesday, December 19 until Wednesday, January 2. We hope to see you at one of our next events:

Q: Can my parents come along?

A: Of course! The whole family is welcome to come out and enjoy Distinguished Fridays.

Q: Will I get to ask questions specific to my major?

A: Yes. You’ll even get to chat with an Admissions counselor during your tour. However,  Fridays are typically a popular day for students to visit. Due to this, we have created the Distinguished Fridays format, where students meet in a group setting as opposed to one on one with our counselors. If you feel you may need more on-on-one time, then a Private Visit may be a better option for you.

Q: If we need to stay in the area for a night or two during our visit, where would you recommend?

A: We’ve compiled a whole list for you — from big-brand names like The Westin in downtown Greenville to cozy B&Bs like The Inn on Tyger Meadow in Travelers Rest. Pick your favorite.

Q: What should I bring to a Distinguished Friday event?

A: All you really need to bring is yourself. But feel free to bring along friends and family, clothing appropriate for the weather, and any questions you have.

Q: Does it cost to attend Distinguished Fridays?

A: Nope! This event is free, and we’ll even throw in a free T-shirt and treat you to a meal in the dining hall while you’re on campus, if you’d like.

Q: How long does a Distinguished Friday event usually last?

A: Each Distinguished Friday event usually lasts for two hours. See our example schedule above for more details.

Q: If I can't make it to Distinguished Fridays, what are my other options for visiting the NGU campus?

A: We offer several other options for visiting NGU: Overnight at NGU, Open House, and even Private Visits. If you find you can’t make it to one of our regularly scheduled Admissions events, then feel free to set up a personalized visit by contacting Campus Visit Coordinator Kristyn Cooke at kristyn.cooke@ngu.edu or 864-977-7052.

If you have more questions about visiting NGU, our Admissions staff is ready and willing to help. Contact us today:
