On behalf of the professionals who make up the Department of Campus Security of North Greenville University, I want to welcome you to our department web page. These are exciting times here at NGU. God is blessing us with tremendous growth. This growth increases the scope and responsibility of the Command Staff and officers in this department.
Our department training program has expanded and mirrors that provided to officers of local and state jurisdictions. The training program equips our officers to be more confident and professional in the execution of their duties. We enjoy a relationship with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office that supports and affirms this department as the law enforcement agency of record for the university. Our officers train on a regular basis with the Sheriff’s tactical and special operations teams. The Sheriff’s Office also provides support services such as forensics, K9 and special investigatory assistance when needed.
Striving to create a safe environment where the campus community can worship, learn, and recreate is our daily challenge. Our officers are committed to being an integral part of the mission at NGU. Each officer sees his or her responsibility as a ministry opportunity and has a committed concerned for the spiritual, emotional, academic, and physical well-being of everyone in the campus community. Their service is rooted in integrity, honesty and moral courage that is founded in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Each is prepared to put themselves in harm’s way for the protection of others without reservation. It is an honor to serve Jesus Christ by serving the faculty, staff, students and visitors of North Greenville University and I consider it a privilege to lead the men and women of this department.
Serving Him by serving others,
Chief Rick Morris
