Position Summary:

NGUcentral is an initiative within the North Greenville University community to enhance student experience and satisfaction by providing exemplary customer service in providing one location that assists students with registration, bill payment, transcript requests, financial aid information, scheduling, etc. 

The NGUcentral Associate provides front-line customer service to students, alumni, staff, faculty, and guests.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Represent NGU in creating a professional, welcoming, and helpful environment by providing excellent customer service in person, on the phone, and in written communication.
  • Assist with retention and student satisfaction efforts by connecting students with information and resources to navigate the administrative needs of their student experience.
  • Support NGU students by troubleshooting registration issues, providing forms, printing unofficial transcripts, and updating student information.
  • Collaborate with Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and Academic Records regarding student portal issues and in answering general student questions related to these areas.
  • Maintain the billing, payment arrangements, and financial clearance process for all students each semester.
  • Support the Student Services department as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle a variety of student issues and concerns.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and problem solve in an environment where frequent interruptions are common.
  • Ability to follow through with tasks.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Higher Education Administration policies and processes preferred.
  • At least one year of university services experience preferred.
  • Understand and comply with FERPA regulations.
  • Experience in customer service banking or retail preferred.
  • Employee must support the university’s mission statement and core values, which includes having a firm commitment to living a Christian lifestyle in keeping with biblical models.

 

Working Relationships

 

This position is a full-time, non-exempt position in North Greenville University’s Student Services Department. The Associate reports to the NGUcentral Manager.  

 

Work Schedule

 

Student Services is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – noon. Office hours are subject to change as deemed necessary.

 

Travel

 

No travel is required.
