Occupation: Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine & Pediatrics
Alex Holsonback ʼ16, MMS ʼ19 grew up in the small town of Clinton, SC. He attended NGU for undergraduate studies and was blessed to play baseball for two years. He experienced many injuries and surgeries throughout his athletic career, which ended his sophomore year. Working with many doctors developed his love for medicine, and he saw this as an outlet to provide care and help for people.
While an undergraduate student, Alex learned that NGU was launching a Master of Medical Science/PA program at the Greer Campus. After hours of research, he decided that this is what he wanted to be his career. He worked as a medical scribe at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in the emergency room to gain experience and eventually applied to NGU’s PA program.
After obtaining his degree, he was blessed to be offered a job at Spartanburg Regional’s emergency room and an underserved pediatric clinic. He hopes to continue to work and serve in rural areas providing care to those in need.
