To be successful in this course, students are expected to have access to a reliable high speed Internet connection, an updated Internet browser (preferably Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox), with PDF, Flash, and Java support. Students will have access to Microsoft Office for Word, Power Point, and Excel through Office 365 through their NGU student email account.

Blackboard and NGU email are the primary tools for class communication, assignments, materials, etc. Therefore, all students must have access to the Blackboard course site and NGU email. Students are expected to access the course in Blackboard and check NGU email on a daily basis.

It is recommended, but not required, to have dual screens especially for the courses where eBooks are utilized. Dual screens allow students to read an eBook on one screen while completing assignments on the other which make the process more fluid and integrated.

While it is important to maintain good communication with the instructor, Internet connectivity problems and home computer problems are not considered adequate excuses for missing assigned class work.

NGU is not responsible for and does not provide technical support for home computers. However, if a student needs to reach technical support personnel, he/she should send an e-mail to helpdesk@ngu.edu or call 864-977-7272.
