  1. Submit the FAFSA (October 1- June 30) at www.fafsa.ed.gov

    2. Be sure to include 2 required verification documents with form
    3. **Receive Award Letter from NGU (Containing Aid/Scholarships/Grants/Loan options)**
  4. Log into Financial Aid Portal at www.myfinaid.ngu.edu and Accept Awards:
    1. Click "First Time User" link (underneath the login box)
    2. Activate your account.
    3. If you are an international student, you must contact our office for special login instructions.
    4. Once account is activated, go back to the home screen and login.
    5. Click Menu at top left hand of the page.
    6. Click "Accept Awards" and accept/decline your financial aid and submit.
    7. If you are awarded loans, you can customize the loan amount and submit your request.
  5. To complete your final student loan steps, go to www.studentloans.gov and log in with your FAFSA credentials.
    1. Complete Entrance Counseling.
    2. Complete Loan Agreement for a Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan (MPN).

You have three options for course registration:

  1. Future Crusader Day – First Orientation Event is typically in mid-April
  2. Summer Registration – 3 offered during the summer months
  3. Distance Registration – For students unable to attend Future Crusader Day or a summer Registration event, we offer Distance Registration. 

1. Set up a Payment Plan in the Student Portal under “Student”--“Student Accounts”--“Make a Payment”

2. Find all Payment Plan Options and enrollment deadlines here.

Payments made with the e-check option using check routing number and account number will incur no additional fee.

  • The 5 month plan for FALL Semester will be due July 15 and end on November 15. (Auto draft plans should be set up with echeck 2 business days prior to the payment due date on the 15th of the month to guarantee first payment is drafted). Note. If your first payment was not drafted due to the required set up time, please go through your Student Account to make a manual payment plan payment. 
  • The 4 month plan for FALL Semester will be due August 15 and end on November 15.   • The deadline to pay in full or have a payment plan for Fall Semester is August 1 and for Spring Semester is January 1.
  • SUMMER sessions - Balance is one week prior to the start of class. There are no payment plans available for Traditional Undergraduate summer classes, however periodic payments can be made prior to class start date.

To avoid unnecessary delays at Check-In, please make sure you have made payment in-full or set up a payment plan at least 36 business hours prior to your scheduled check-in.

  1. Send NGU your Final High School Transcript.
  2. Purchase a Parking Pass with Campus Security before Orientation.
  3. Purchase your books. Book lists become available in early August for students enrolling in a fall semester. Book lists becomes available in December for students enrolling in spring semester. Purchase used or new books at the university bookstore or online at www.chegg.com or www.half.com.
  4. Housing Assignment Timeline
    1. If you have submitted a Housing Contract, check your NGU Email for your Housing Assignment.
    2. For students enrolling in a fall semester, the Residence Life Office issues housing assignments in mid-summer.
    3. For students enrolling in a spring semester, the Residence Life Office issues housing assignments in December.
  5. Check your NGU email regularly throughout the summer for updates on Orientation and move-in information.
