Dr. Lisa Bryan, Ph.D.

Dr. Lisa Lee Bryan is a distinguished information security expert with over three and a half decades of experience in the field. She currently serves as Lead Database Engineer at a major insurance company while maintaining her successful computer consulting firm, which she has operated for more than 24 years. Her research focus on small business information security has led to notable publications, including “Effective Information Security Strategies for Small Business” in the International Journal of Cyber Criminology. Drawing from her comprehensive background in manufacturing, programming, and systems analysis, Dr. Bryan has made significant contributions to academia as a former Program Chair and faculty member in Information Systems and Data Analytics, with 35 years of teaching experience in computer and business classes at local colleges. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems Technology from the University of Phoenix, complemented by both an M.A. in Organizational Leadership in Management with IT emphasis and a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Her extensive professional certifications, including CompTIA’s A+, Security+, Networking+, and Project+, as well as multiple Microsoft certifications, demonstrate her ongoing commitment to technical excellence and make her a valuable voice in addressing the challenges of information security, particularly for small businesses in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

 


Martin Jones

Dr. Martin Jones, Ph.D., J.D.

Dr. Martin Jones is the Associate Dean of Graduate and Online Business Programs, and Associate Professor of Business in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Greenville University. He teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Leadership Ethics, and the Legal Environment of Business. Jones is a dual British-American citizen and has a Ph.D. with a research emphasis in ethics, specifically examining post-modern culture emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic. He also has a Juris Doctorate, and was attorney in the UK, being appointed as Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1999. He moved into higher education in 2004 as Lecturer of Business Law at the University of Central Lancashire (UK) and emigrated to the US in 2007 to complete additional graduate studies. He joined the faculty at NGU in 2019. Jones is an early adopter of technology and has written articles and presented nationally about the impact of AI on higher education, as well as leading seminars and workshops on its implementation.

 


Mr. Bob Peck

For the past 28 years Bob has been deeply involved in all aspects of technology including software engineering, infrastructure engineering and operations, long-range strategy and planning, and cybersecurity. He has worked in industries including commercial software vendors, technology startups, international wholesale and retail distribution, and for the past 19 years in healthcare and financial services with UnitedHealth Group and Unum Group. During these times Bob has held numerous roles including VP Core Engineering and Platforms, VP Digital Transformation, and Chief Architect. He has had the privilege of speaking at many internal corporate conferences on topics such as software design patterns, cloud computing, data management, and artificial intelligence.  Bob earned his B.S. degree in Computer Science from Bob Jones University and his M.S. degree in Computer Science from Clemson University. His master’s project was focused on minimizing test data sets for various code coverage scenarios utilizing parallelized genetic algorithms. He currently resides in Greenville, SC with his wife of 27 years and is an active elder in his local church.
