Journey Worship Company Workshop Seminar

September 8 | 2:00 pm 4:00 pm

North Greenville University is serious about making disciples. To that end, each fall, we host Global Impact Week, a missions conference designed to encourage our students’ hearts for God’s glory among all nations.

As part of that conference this year, on Monday, September 8th, from 2-4pm, NGU is proud to host a worship seminar led by Journey Worship Co. from Journey Church in Lebanon Tennessee.

Journey Church is pastored by the well-known expositor Erik Reed. Worship pastor, Brett Perkins, began Journey Worship Co. as a ministry of Journey Church in 2021 to provide more biblically faithful songs for the church. Their website, journeyworshipco.com, explains “Journey Worship Co. is a team of worship leaders, songwriters, and musicians who serve weekly at their local church. . . . With biblical integrity and steadfast creativity, their aim is to write, record, and lead songs that are truthful and clear.”

About their visit to North Greenville University, Perkins said, “We’re so honored to be coming to NGU for their Global Impact Week. One gathering we’re especially looking forward to is meeting with the local church leaders.”

The workshop will include corporate singing, teaching on making disciples through the church’s music, and Q&A.

Associate Vice-President of Student Ministries, Dallas Vandiver, is thankful to have Journey Worship Co. on campus. “Their heart for disciple making through corporate worship makes them excellent partners for NGU. Journey Worship Co. writes theologically rich songs for the church in a musical sound that is their own but may also remind some listeners of CityAlight,” Vandiver said.

Journey Worship Co has released 32 originals, hymn covers, 2 live records, and 1 studio Christmas record. Their music can be found on all streaming platforms.
