  • Professional Experience

My experience includes 11 years in public school education. I have experience as a first, second, and third grade teacher in Spartanburg District 5 and Greenville county. I have served as both a cooperating teacher for college students in their field placements as well as a mentor teacher for first year teachers.

  • My Story

My grandmother was a kindergarten teaching assistant and seeing the love and joy it brought her every day, encouraged me to pursue teaching. I can remember setting up my dolls and stuffed animals on the couch and pretending to teach them even from a very young age! North Greenville University was always the plan. There was no other place that felt so much like home! My mom was part of Joyful Sound and I always dreamed of being one of the first second generation JS members! When it came time to apply to colleges, I actually didn’t send applications to any other school. I spent the best four years in Joyful Sound, learned to grow my relationship with the Lord and took amazing courses under Godly professors. My husband is a high school Social Studies teacher and a graduate of North Greenville University. We met on campus in 2012 and were married in 2015. We have four wonderful children, three boys and one girl, who make our lives so much brighter. I always dreamed of coming back home to NGU to teach and am so thankful that the Lord provided that opportunity! He has been guiding my every step over the years and I’m excited to see what else He has in store for my life.
