  • My Story

During high school playing in the band was where I found my ‘niche,’ so I decided to become a band director. God blessed my teaching with 21 years of positive life experiences for my students in the musical world of band. I decided to pursue a career in school administration and after earning my master’s degree, I was blessed to work for 17 years as an assistant principal at Woodruff Middle School. During my last several years in that job, I started teaching education courses at the University of South Carolina Upstate, and I really enjoyed teaching those future teachers. When I retired from my assistant principal job, God intervened and helped me to get my current job at NGU. I enjoy teaching the future teachers.

    Favorite Course to Teach:

I really enjoy teaching Classroom Management because I have the experiences of my many years as a band director and as a middle school assistant principal to share with my students.
