  • My Story

Originally from the South Carolina Lowcountry, I am the son of a Southern Baptist preacher and a seamstress. My daddy was the hardest working person I have ever known. And he taught me a love for Jesus that continues to this day.

Anyone who knew me in high school or college knew I worked as a newspaper carrier. For over six and half years, 365 days a year, rain or shine, I delivered 1000 to 2000 newspapers per day. After graduation I worked for 30 years in transportation and logistics and have recently made the decision to return South Carolina and begin my career as a professor.

I have been married for 29 years to the love of my life and we have four children ranging in ages from 20-28. I look forward to this transition and want to help the next generation as they begin looking for the answer to “What’s next?”
