  • Professional Experience

I have worked with all ages and subject areas across a variety of learning environments in public, private, urban, and rural educational systems. I began my career in the K-12 field of education in California and spent 17 years serving as a state-certified elementary level classroom teacher (grades 3 and 5), secondary level library media specialist, and district administrator of technology, library services, and curriculum. In 2014 I moved to higher education and spent 8.5 serving as a faculty member and program coordinator of two online graduate education programs in school library media – the first in California and the second in Georgia. I then spent 2.5 years serving as the director of an academic library in South Carolina before joining the faculty of the Doctor of Education program at NGU.
