Expertise
My expertise is in Mathematics Education. Specifically, I am trained in the area of qualitative and mixed methods research. Additionally, my mathematical expertise is in applied mathematics with an emphasis in Partial Differential Equations and Fourier Analysis. You will learn from me when taking courses in Real Analysis, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Calculus 2, Mathematical Statistics, and College Algebra.

Research Interests
My research interests focus on the psychological transition experiences transfer students encounter in Calculus 2 at a large very high research institution. I aim to understand the successes or barriers transfer students feel they have entering a larger research focused institution. Additionally, I am interested in using Jungian psychology to understand the psyche of transfer students to provide insight into their feelings regarding future endeavors in advanced undergraduate mathematics courses.

My Story
I’ve wanted to become a Mathematics Professor since I was 17 years old. God has certainly given me the wonderful opportunity to fulfill my dreams of becoming Mathematics Professor by guiding me to North Greenville University. I have taught at several institutions in 4 different states in the USA, but God guided me to upstate SC to have a career at NGU. I am saved by his grace and in Christ alone.
