Life Answers Team Benefits from Beam, McFarland Book
Posted on: February 2, 2021
North Greenville University’s Life Answers Team, a traveling student group trained in apologetics, will now have extra funds to cover travel expenses thanks to a grant from the South Carolina Christian Foundation and the generosity of two NGU administrators.
When the South Carolina Christian Foundation gifted the Life Answers Team a $4,000 grant, NGU’s Christian Worldview Center used it to publish copies of “Life Answers: Making Sense of Your World.” The book, authored by NGU’s Dr. Tony Beam and Alex McFarland, is distributed by Auxano Press.
NGU’s Life Answers Team, under the direction of Beam and McFarland, travel to churches throughout the region to answer common cultural questions about Christianity in a forum-like setting.
“Life Answers: Making Sense of Your World” is a nonfiction, educational text which aims to equip Christians to use apologetics to defend their faith in the age of globalization. Southern Baptist statesman Ken Hemphill currently utilizes this text as educational material for his ministry. Individuals can purchase the book for $10 plus shipping and handling.
“We’re fortunate to be able to give all proceeds besides shipping and handling to the Life Answers Team,” said Beam.
Beam is vice president of student life and Christian worldview at NGU. He has served as a pastor, educator, and broadcaster. He hosts “Christian Worldview Today,” a favorite weekday morning drive-time show heard in the Carolinas.
McFarland is an evangelist and broadcaster who uses apologetics to spread the Gospel and equip believers. He has pastored two churches and previously served as Focus on the Family’s Director of Teen Apologetics. He is the author of several books and has preached in all fifty states and internationally.
