The Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center
About the Building
Honoring the past and cultivating transformational leaders for tomorrow, the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center rests at the highest point of North Greenville University’s Tigerville campus. Originally opened in 1955, the 20,000-square-foot facility is one of the most historic buildings on NGU’s campus, previously serving as the university’s administration building and library. Its unique design garnered recognition when it was constructed, and its renovation in 2023 restored many of its beloved historical qualities while modernizing the space for the future.
The Plaster Free Enterprise Center houses NGU’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship (COBE), the Donald E. Ward Administrative Suite, and the Murphree C. Donnan Commons, which preserves and articulates the legacy of the university’s longest-serving president.
North Greenville’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship is the university’s largest academic unit, enrolling more than 500 students in its bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. In this state-of-the-art facility, COBE students and faculty have access to five high-tech classrooms, two high-profile collaboration rooms, and numerous faculty offices.
The Donald E. Ward Administrative Suite, located on the upper level on the Plaster Free Enterprise Center, includes offices for the university’s president, executive vice president, provost/dean of university faculty, chief financial officer, and university general counsel. The Suite features meeting spaces and views of Glassy Mountain in the distance.
