Posted on: February 1, 2021
Tigerville, SC (August 16, 2019) North Greenville University began the 2019-2020 academic year with a time of worship, reflection, and celebration during a campus-wide chapel service on Thursday, August 15.
President Fant read from Philippians 4 and delivered a message to challenge the community to be more like Christ: joyful, truthful, honorable, lovely, excellent, and worthy of praise.
He said, “If we want to be a place where Christ makes the difference, we ought to be a place that is known by these attributes.”
President Fant’s desire is that the university will be a Philippians 4:8 institution and Philippians 4:8 people. “People will not see us, but Him through us.”
At a luncheon later in the morning, President Fant reflected on accomplishments from the previous school year and spoke about the next phases of the university’s history. He communicated that during the upcoming school year, the institution would be emphasizing the importance of partnerships, excellence, and professionalism (PEP).
In addition, the university honored staff members who have reached milestone years of service. The following staff members were presented a plaque from President Fant during the chapel service:
