Tigerville SC (July 14, 2016) North Greenville University (NGU) ranks fifth in the 25 Best Christian Colleges and Universities in the South for 2017 by Christian Universities Online (CUO).
CUO, an independent online resource for prospective students, realizes that making a college decision has a serious financial impact on a family. In compiling this list of the best Christian colleges and universities by region, CUO hopes to provide valuable reviews and rankings for families to use when determining the best school which will meet their individual needs and goals. The ranking highlights schools that are the best of the best when it comes to overall quality, affordability, and student satisfaction.
“There is no other place like NGU for preparing students for a life of learning and service,” says NGU Interim President Dr. Randall J. Pannell. “It is the focus on Jesus Christ that makes the education at NGU exceptional.”
The methodology behind this ranking began with schools that are members of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). Publicly available data for these schools were collected in five categories. These categories are faculty-to-student ratio, percent of full-time beginning undergraduates receiving grant or scholarship aid, selectivity, overall retention rate, and overall graduation rate. Each category received equal weight in calculating the final ranking.
The CUO website states that the goal of the CUO is to provide as many resources as possible to help students not only find the right Christian school, but get into, pay for, and thrive at it as well.
