Tigerville, SC (March 12, 2020) North Greenville University (NGU) Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) will host a community-wide worship experience with Elevation Worship on Thursday, March 19, in Turner Chapel on the northern Greenville county campus. Elevation Worship is the worship ministry of Elevation Church, a multi-site church based in Charlotte, NC, led by Pastor Steven Furtick, a 2002 NGU alumnus.

Caleb Wood, the worship leader from Elevation’s Greenville Campus, will be directing the evening along with NGU Director of Community and Ministry Mobilization Joshua Gilmore.

“[BCM] is thrilled to partner with Elevation Greenville for a free night of worship,” said Gilmore. “Everyone is welcome and doors open at 6 p.m.”

In 2019, Elevation Worship released its most recent project, “At Midnight.” and has produced multiple albums such as the Grammy-nominated “Hallelujah Here Below,” which released in 2018. The worship ministry is also known for its Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) platinum-certified song, “O Come to The Altar,” and RIAA Gold-certified song, “Do It Again,” both landing in the top-five in American Christian radio.

Elevation Worship is passionate about producing songs for the local church that connect others to God, and in 2019 had ten songs in the Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) Top 100 list.

NGU’s vibrant BCM hosts events that provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith, build discipleship skills, and develop ministry giftedness.

“Psalm 95:1 says, ‘Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.’  As one of NGU’s campus pastors, who has worked with hundreds of worship teams over the years, I can’t think of a more gifted worship band to lead us in fulfilling this Scripture,” said Gilmore.
