Your dissertation completes the degree. It comprises research, writing, and a formal defense. While this is primarily independent work, you are guided through the steps by three courses:

  • EDUL 8303 Seminar in Educational Research Design (3 hrs.): From concept through IRB to full proposal.
  • EDUL 9601 Dissertation 1 (6 hrs.): Collect and analyze data; begin writing your dissertation.
  • EDUL 9602 Dissertation 2 (6 hrs.): Complete your writing; prepare to defend your dissertation.

Students pursuing licensure are encouraged to contact their state licensure department to determine exact credentials and degree requirements.
