Occupation: Information Technology Project Specialist with New Horizon Family Health Services

My professional background is in healthcare, working with AnMed Health, Anderson Magnetic Imaging, Greenville Hospital System (Prisma Health), and now New Horizon Family Health Services. Early in my career, I worked as a medical transcriptionist and then held several positions with Prisma Health, including an IS Data Security Analyst. I was responsible for processing security requests for all computing environments supported by the Information Security Department and provided support for security systems. I was the primary security analyst for several projects, including Lawson Implementation – Finance and Supply Chain. In 2014, I was promoted to Application Analyst. In this role, I was responsible for providing support to the Lab Department. Accountability included seven acute care application systems, hardware, software installation and upgrades, processed reports, terminations, and new hires. In March 2016, my employment at GHS terminated due to ‘Workforce Reduction/Position Eliminated.’ I remained unemployed for 15 months. I never gave up on my faith. In 2017, I was hired as an information technology project specialist with New Horizon Family Health Services, responsible for coordinating all implementation activities for designated IT projects under the direction of the IT Services Director.
My late mother was inspirational in my Christian upbringing. I have been a member of Flat Rock AME Church in Abbeville, SC, from an early age. In 1993, I committed my life to Jesus Christ. It was the happiest day of my life when I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior and an experience I will forever remember. I will forever love and follow Jesus. Jesus is the reason for where I have been, where I am now, and where I am going. I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me Phillippians 4:13.
