alumni in doctors officeKathryn Allen Wilkie ʼ16, ʼ18 is North Greenville University’s first undergraduate to be accepted and graduate from its PA Medicine program.

When she was in the sixth grade, she wanted to become a physical therapist.

From that moment on, she was extremely focused on doing whatever it took to follow that career path. When she was not accepted but waitlisted for physical therapy school, she was heartbroken.

NGU was starting a PA program, and after working as a medical scribe in an emergency department with a PA she fell in love with medicine.

Since that time, she pursued a career in PA medicine. Her favorite benefit about the program is the class size and the availability of the faculty who cares about their students. She says her story is a reminder that sometimes when we feel disappointed and heartbroken, God uses those times to make all things work together for our good.

Kathryn is currently a physician’s assistant for Powdersville Family and Internal Medicine (Prisma Health).
