Ameris Bank opens newest branch location at NGU

Tigerville, SC – Ameris Bancorp, parent company of Ameris Bank, announced its newest bank branch location in Upstate South Carolina in North Greenville University’s Academic Village at Tigerville. This new location opened and began serving customers on May 5. To celebrate the opening, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Thursday, July 17. Ameris Bank is excited about its partnership with North Greenville University, and is eager to service and work with the faculty, students and staff.

In celebrating the opening, Ameris Bank is offering the School Spirit Account. When any student, faculty or staff member opens a non-interest bearing checking at Ameris Bank, we ask that they tell the Personal Banker of their support of North Greenville University. Their Ameris Bank profile will be flagged as a supporter of North Greenville University and from that point going forward, North Greenville University will receive a quarterly donation from Ameris Bank. The amount of the quarterly donation is based on the aggregate balance of all non-interest bearing checking accounts associated with profiles flagged as supporters of North Greenville University.

“We look forward to serving North Greenville University and the needs of those throughout northern Greenville County,” said David Charpia, Greenville Market President.  “We are excited about our expansion into north Greenville, and this location is a wonderful complement to our new location at 301 North Main Street and existing location at 1614 Woodruff Road.”

The new Tigerville Ameris Bank office, located at 7800 N. Tigerville Road, is a full-service branch housed in the Eddie Runion Creative Arts Center and offers in-branch banking and ATM services. The Ameris Bank team of experienced bankers stands ready to assist new and existing customers during the business hours of 9:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

From its earliest beginnings in 1971, Ameris Bank, which began as American Banking Company, has been focused on creating a distinctly different way of helping customers manage and make the most of their money. Ameris Bank has experienced and is continuing to experience progress, innovation and growth, but remains true to their roots: understanding the power and importance of working with their customers, speaking a common language and building long lasting relationships.

“We at North Greenville University are thrilled to have Ameris Bank on our campus as well as in the Tigerville community,” said NGU President Dr. Jimmy Epting. “The bank is already making a tremendous impact and we look forward to a long, lasting relationship with them.”

Ameris Bank has over $3.5 billion in assets and over 75 full-service and mortgage banking locations. It is publically traded on NASDAQ under ABCB. Ameris Bank provides a full range of traditional banking, commercial and consumer lending, treasury and cash management services, and a full-service mortgage division. Ameris Bank also offers investment services through a partnership with Raymond James Financial Services.  Over their 43 year history, Ameris Bank has made 29 acquisitions, including 10 FDIC-assisted transactions, all occurring since late 2009.
