Tigerville, SC—North Greenville University (NGU) will host Christian Worldview Week from March 2-4 in Tigerville.

“Christian Worldview Week has been a highlight of the academic year for over two decades,” said Dr. Nathan Finn, who serves as the executive director for NGU’s Institute for Faith and Culture. “It is always a joy to host Christian thought leaders who can help the NGU community to think about how best to apply a biblical worldview to important questions.”

This year’s theme is “Confronting Challenges to Authentic Human Flourishing.” Keynote speakers for the event will include Dr. Andrew Walker and Dr. Jamie Dew.

Walker serves as Associate Dean in the School of Theology, and Associate Professor of Christian Ethics and Public Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS). He also serves as the director of the Carl F. H. Henry Institute for Evangelical Engagement, and is a fellow in Christian Political Thought at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, as well as the Managing Editor of WORLD Opinions.

Dew is the president of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). He holds two Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees, a Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy from the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK. Additionally, Dew is a published author and his most recent works include: Philosophy: A Christian Introduction, with Paul M. Gould (Baker, 2019); Understanding Postmodernism: a Christian Perspective, with Stewart E. Kelly (IVP Academic, 2017), God and the Problem of Evil: Five Views, with Chad Meister (IVP Academic, 2017).

“Both our speakers this year are thoughtful scholars and gifted communicators who are making a difference by investing in the next generation of Christian leaders and writing and speaking for the wider Christian public,” said Finn.

Christian Worldview Week includes four lectures. Walker will speak during chapel at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 2. He will also deliver a lecture 7 p.m. that same evening. Dew will deliver an evening lecture on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. He will then speak in chapel at 10 a.m. on the following morning, Wednesday, March 4. Both morning lectures will be in Turner Chapel, while each of the evening lectures will be held in Hamlin Recital Hall. The evening lectures are also part of NGU’s Performing Arts and Lecture Series (PALS).
