  • My Story

    I chair the Department of Accounting and Business and teach as Associate Professor of Accounting in North Greenville University’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship. I’m a CPA, and I’ve worked in accounting practice, in business, and in higher education — three different vantage points on the same set of questions, and each one affects how I teach and how I lead.

    I earned my PhD from Northcentral University, along with an MBA and a Master of Arts in Teaching Bible, both from Bob Jones University. My work centers on accounting, business education, and what a biblical worldview means for how we practice business.

    In the classroom, I ask students to start with a biblical worldview, not append one. Faith isn’t a layer added on top of professional knowledge; business happens inside a world God made, among people who carry His image, using resources He entrusted to us. Studied that way, accounting, finance, management, and entrepreneurship become ways of understanding God’s world, and of asking how Christians ought to act faithfully within it.

    I want my students to leave with two things: the competence to do the work well, and the judgment to know why it matters. Business is not simply a career or a way to turn a profit — it is an opportunity to work with God to steward what you’ve been given, serve other people, solve real problems, create something of value, and to honor God with work done well and honestly when no one else is looking.
