My Story
I serve as Chair of the Department of Accounting and Business and Associate Professor of Accounting in North Greenville University’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship. A Certified Public Accountant, I bring together experience in accounting practice, business, and higher education in my teaching and leadership.
I earned my PhD from Northcentral University and my MBA and Master of Arts in Teaching Bible from Bob Jones University. My academic and professional interests center on accounting, business education, and the biblical worldview of business.
In the classroom, I challenge students to begin with a biblical worldview as they study accounting and business. Rather than treating faith as something to be added to professional knowledge, I encourage students to recognize that business takes place in a world God created, among people who bear His image, using resources entrusted to human stewardship. Accounting, finance, management, entrepreneurship, and other areas of business therefore provide opportunities to better understand God’s world and to consider how Christians should faithfully act within it.
My goal as an educator is to help students develop professional competence alongside the wisdom to understand why their work matters. I encourage my students to view business not simply as a career or a means of generating profit, but as an opportunity to steward their abilities, serve others, solve meaningful problems, create value, and honor God through excellent and faithful work.
