NGU Announces Operational Changes Ahead of Winter Storm

Tigerville, SC—North Greenville University (NGU) officials are monitoring a winter storm that could bring hazardous conditions to the region on Saturday, Jan. 31.  

The Choral Arts concert scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday will continue as planned, but the 8 p.m. concert has been canceled. Registrants are encouraged to attend the 6:30 p.m. event.  

Averyt/Wood Learning Resource Center will be closed for the weekend. On campus Athletic events scheduled for Saturday have been canceled. The Greer campus will be closed over the weekend, and scheduled events have been canceled.  

Residential students wishing to leave Tigerville ahead of the potential storm are advised to depart Friday afternoon.  

Students remaining on campus will receive regular communication from Campus Ministries and Student Engagement (CMSE). Alerts and weather updates will be shared on the LiveSafe app.  

North Greenville University plans to resume normal operations on Monday, Feb. 2. If normal operations cannot occur, classes will shift to e-learning, and employees will work remotely. A decision regarding operations on Monday will be communicated on Sunday afternoon.
