Tigerville, SC–North Greenville University’s (NGU) College of Education faculty recently received the Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement award.

This annual award is presented by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) to educator preparation providers that achieve accreditation with no stipulations or areas for improvement.

“This recognition is a reflection of the collective work of our entire College of Education. Our faculty and staff were intentional in their work to advance continuous improvement and provide the very best educational experience for our students,” said Dr. Constance Wright, dean of the College of Education at NGU.

Wright recognized members of the team who were a part of the accreditation process including Dr. Mary Katheryn Farnham, Dr. Melissa Cruver, and Dr. Nancy Caukin.

“Their work in writing the accreditation report and thoughtfully assembling the evidence of our work allowed us to tell our story in a way that truly represented who we are and our commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and ultimately, to our students,” she said. “Each of them played a vital role in helping us tell the story of the incredible work happening throughout our College of Education.”

“I am deeply thankful for the wisdom God has given our College of Education to assemble such an intelligent, faithful, and intentional team of Christian professors who are committed to serving our students and advancing the mission and vision of both the College of Education and North Greenville University,” Wright said.

NGU earned reaffirmation of its accreditation from the CAEP in December 2025. The designation represents the College of Education’s commitment to self-assessment, data collection, analysis, and refinement of curriculum and assessment practices.

The College of Education program at NGU is becoming a leading institution for future educators in the state.

North Greenville offers education-related programs through six traditional undergraduate degrees, two online bachelor’s programs, and three graduate degree options (MEd, EdS, EdD), as well as a Post Master’s Certification in Administration and Supervision.

Undergraduate students can study Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, English Language Arts Secondary Education, Math Secondary Education, Physical Education, Theatre Education, and Social Studies Education. NGU is also a South Carolina Teaching Fellows Institute, a program administered by CERRA.
